Media Brief: Completion of River Bridge on Vatrak River for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project

River bridge on Vatrak River, Kheda district, Gujarat has been completed on 20th August 2024 for the Bullet Train Project.

Salient features of Vatrak River bridge are:

  • Length: 280 meters
  • Consists of 7 Full Span Girders (40 meters each)
  • Height of Piers – 9 to 16 meters
  • 08 circular piers of 3.5 m and 4 m diameter
  • This bridge is in between Anand and Ahmedabad Bullet Train station. Other completed river between the two stations is Mohar River
  • This is the 10th river bridge out of 24 river bridges planned for Bullet Train project
  • The river originates in the hills of Dungarpur, Rajasthan and enters in Gujarat near village Moydi of Meghraj taluka
  • Vatrak river is 25 kms from Anand Bullet Train station and 30 kms from Ahmedabad Bullet Train station
