Published Date: 13-10-2025

Union Minister of Railways, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the under-construction Bilimora Bullet Train station of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project. He was accompanied by Shri Dhaval Patel, Member of Parliament (Valsad), and Shri Naresh Patel, Member of Legislative Assembly (Gandevi).

During the visit, the Minister reviewed the ongoing construction activities and track laying works at the station site.

A. Bilimora Bullet Train Station

Bilimora city is widely known for its mango orchards, which have inspired the design of the station façade, reflecting the region’s natural beauty and cultural identity. The station interiors and platforms are designed to maximize natural light and ventilation for enhanced passenger comfort.

The false ceiling is suspended using anti-vibration hangers to minimize the impact of high-speed train vibrations on structural fittings.

The station will feature modern passenger amenities including waiting lounges, nursery, restrooms, and retail outlets. Multiple lifts and escalators are being installed to ensure smooth movement across levels, with special attention to elderly passengers, differently abled individuals, and families.

To promote sustainability, greenery is being developed across the station premises with plantations of trees and saplings. Dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones, along with separate parking areas for buses, cars, two-wheelers, and EVs, are also planned.

The station incorporates several Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) features such as efficient water usage, rainwater harvesting, low-flow sanitary fixtures, reduced heat gain, and use of low VOC paints.

Location & Connectivity:

• Located at Kesali village near Bilimora, on the banks of the Ambika River in Navsari district

• Bilimora Railway Station: 6 km

• Bilimora Bus Depot: 6 km

• National Highway NH-360: 2.5 km

B. Track Works at Bilimora Bullet Train Station

Track construction activities at Bilimora station are progressing steadily. The RC track bed construction has been completed, and installation of temporary tracks using the Rail Laying Car (RLC) is underway.

The Rail Laying Car enables efficient transportation of 200-meter welded rail panels from the Track Construction Base (TCB) to the installation site, ensuring mechanized handling with minimal manual intervention.

To support high-speed operations of up to 320 km/h, precise surveying is being carried out using advanced instruments. Multi-level verification processes, including Reference Pin Survey and Regression Analysis methods, are used to ensure accuracy and compensate for minor deviations.

The station includes two loop lines with four 1 in 18 turnouts featuring movable crossings, along with two 1 in 18 crossovers. Additionally, a 1 in 12 turnout connects the main line to the Confirmation Car Base.
