National High-Speed Rail Corporation Ltd. (NHSRCL), the implementing agency for executing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, is a joint venture company between the Government of India (through the Ministry of Railways) and participating State Governments.
The authorized share capital of NHSRCL is Rs. 20,000 Crore, with shareholding of the Government of India, Government of Gujarat and Government of Maharashtra in the ratio of 50:25:25 respectively.
The construction cost of the project will be funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at a nominal interest rate of 0.1% with a repayment period of 50 years, including a moratorium of 15 years.
