Published Date: 01-07-2019

National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), in association with Rural Development and Self Employment Training Institute (RUDSET), is working towards income restoration and generation activities for project affected persons and families.

NHSRCL’s land acquisition process is not limited to payment of compensation and rehabilitation assistance, but also includes skill development, training enhancement, livelihood restoration and income generation opportunities for affected persons.

Under this programme, a Computer Hardware and Networking training programme for prospective youths has been started at RUDSET Institute, Nadiad. A total of 28 youths are benefiting from this 45-day skill development training programme.

After completion of training, participants will be supported in creating their own livelihood opportunities.

Several similar training programmes such as mobile repairing, beauty parlour services, bike repairing etc. are planned to be conducted in various villages along the MAHSR corridor.

RUDSET ensures that trained youth are able to establish their own enterprises. Since the institute is sponsored by banks, it also facilitates loan support. Continuous handholding support is provided for at least two years until the candidates are well established.
