Contract Details: Design and Construction of 237 km Mainline for MAHSR Corridor
Name of the Contract: Design and construction of civil and building works including testing and commissioning of 237 km length of mainline for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail corridor.
Alignment: Between Zaroli Village at Maharashtra-Gujarat Border and Vadodara in the state of Gujarat. The total length is 237.10 km, which constitutes approximately 47% of the total 508 km corridor. The alignment is predominantly elevated, except for one mountain tunnel of about 280 meters. The package includes 24 river crossings and 30 road & canal crossings.
Stations: Four (04) stations are included in this package, namely Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, and Bharuch, all located in Gujarat.
Timelines: The project completion period is 42 months. The bid preparation time was 4 months, with the closing date of 15th July 2019.
Current Status of the Project:
Approximately 30% of the required land for the project has been acquired. NHSRCL expected that by the time of tender finalization (November 2019), the required land would be made available.
