 135 km long civil construction package comprising of following special structures being built along the way. This is the second biggest civil package for the Bullet Train package after package C4, which is 237 km long in the state of Gujarat

• Total length of Mainline: 135.45 Km (Between Shilphata & Zaroli village on Maharashtra -Gujarat Border)
• Viaduct & Bridges: 124.027 km
• Earth Structure: 5.361 km
• Bridges & Crossings: 36 Nos. including 12 steel bridges
• Stations: 3 nos. namely Thane, Virar & Boisar
• Mountain tunnels: 7
• Main River Bridges: Ulhas River, Vaitarna & Jagani
• Progress as on date:
  • Pier foundations and pier work is progressing at multiple locations along the alignment
  • Foundation work has already begun on all three stations, Boisar station is the first one to start foundation casting
  • Three casting yards, 2 for segmental casting and one for full span box girder (40 meters long) are already operational
  • First Full span box girder weighing approx. 970 Metric tons has recently been cast at a casting yard near Dahanu
  • Temporary access bridge work on Vaitarna, Ulhas River and Desai Khadi is at advanced stage. These temporary bridges will be used for man and machinery movement during river bridge construction
