Young engineers to gain first-hand experience at Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train construction sites
Published Date: 05-12-2025

To provide practical exposure, engineering and technical institutes have been invited to participate in educational visits to Mumbai–Ahmedabad Bullet Train construction sites.

Under this programme, young engineers will gain first-hand understanding of the Bullet Train project’s construction methodology. Participants will have the opportunity to observe ongoing works such as viaduct construction, station development, bridge construction, overhead electrification, and track works.

This exposure will help students understand the scale, complexity, and precision involved in building India’s first high-speed rail project, offering valuable real-world insights beyond classroom learning.

Guided tours to construction sites, along with interactive sessions with project engineers and site management teams, form the core component of this initiative. These engagements will enable participants to develop a deeper understanding of large-scale infrastructure execution.

The programme also serves as a unique platform to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical implementation, preparing students for future engineering challenges.

Special emphasis will be placed on showcasing quality assurance measures and safety practices being followed at Bullet Train construction sites, ensuring awareness of industry standards and best practices.

More information regarding the programme, including eligibility, batch size, logistics, and site locations, is available on the NHSRCL website.
