The Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project has achieved another milestone with the successful launching of the 11th steel bridge spanning 70 meters over the Cadilla flyover in Ahmedabad district, Gujarat.

This steel bridge weighs approximately 670 metric tons and is located parallel to the Ahmedabad–Mumbai tracks of Indian Railways. The structure measures around 13 meters in height and 14.1 meters in width. It was fabricated at a workshop in Navsari, Gujarat, and transported to the site using heavy-duty trailers.

The assembly of the bridge was carried out adjacent to the Cadilla flyover and Indian Railway tracks on specially designed steel staging positioned at a height of 16.5 meters above ground level.

The bridge has been constructed using approximately 29,300 Tor-Shear Type High Strength (TTHS) bolts and is coated with C5 system painting to ensure long-term durability and resistance to environmental conditions.

A total of 28 steel bridges are planned along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train corridor, out of which 17 are located in Gujarat and 11 in Maharashtra, highlighting the scale of infrastructure development under this project.
