The Ahmedabad Bullet Train station is inspired by the rich cultural and historical ethos of the city. The roof and façade are designed to resemble a vibrant canvas of hundreds of kites, symbolizing the city’s famous kite festival. The canopy design draws inspiration from the intricate lattice work of the iconic Syed Siddique’s Jaali.

The station is planned over an area of approximately 38,000 square meters and will be constructed above the existing Western Railway station platforms 10, 11, and 12. It will provide seamless integration with the Western Railway station through foot over bridges.

The station will also be connected to the Kalupur Metro Station of GMRCL through lifts, staircases, and escalators, ensuring smooth passenger movement between different modes of transport.

Station Connectivity:

To ensure seamless integration with multiple modes of transport, an integrated passenger transit building is being constructed on the eastern side of the existing railway station. This facility will enable passengers to switch conveniently between different transport systems using escalators and elevators.

The building will be connected to the Ahmedabad Railway Station, allowing access to Western Railway foot over bridges for passengers traveling from platforms 1 to 9. On the other side, it will provide direct connectivity to the underground Kalupur Metro Station towards the Saraspur side.

The Bullet Train station will also offer easy access to key transport hubs, including Ahmedabad Airport (approximately 10 km away) and the Geeta Mandir Central Bus Stand (around 3.5 km away).

Station Progress:

• Structural work of the station building up to track floor level has been completed

• Interior works, including MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) primary support fixing, are in progress

• Façade mock-up work and RC track bed laying activities are currently underway
