Seventy two (72) employees of NHSRCL, from project offices in Mumbai, Vadodara, Palghar, Ahmedabad, Surat and the corporate office, were today presented with certification for completing a five-month-long “Japanese Language and Culture Learning Training Programme”.
The successful employees were awarded certificates by ‘The Japan Foundation’ in the presence of Managing Director Shri Achal Khare at a function organised at the NHSRCL Corporate Office in New Delhi. The event was attended by senior officials of NHSRCL and The Japan Foundation, New Delhi.
The high-speed rail technology is being adopted from Japanese Shinkansen train technology; hence, there is a need for inter-country exchanges between officials of both nations. This is facilitated through proficiency in the Japanese language and an empathetic understanding of Japanese culture.
A training programme on Japanese language and culture has been developed by The Japan Foundation, based on established standards for Japanese language education. The study material emphasizes oral communication and a deeper understanding of Japanese culture.
Till now, 140 NHSRCL employees have received such training programmes in the last 1.5 years. National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) is a joint sector company of the Government of India and participating State Governments, formed for the implementation of the High-Speed Rail Corridor Project between Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
