Financial Bids Opened for 237 km Viaduct Package of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor

Financial bids for the design and construction of approximately 237 km length of viaduct for the 508 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor were opened today, and Larsen & Toubro Ltd. has emerged as the lowest bidder.

A total of three bidders, involving seven major infrastructure companies, participated in the competitive bidding process. The participating consortiums were as follows:

  • Afcons Infrastructure Limited – IRCON International Limited – JMC Projects (India) Ltd. Consortium
  • NCC Limited – Tata Projects Ltd. – J. Kumar Infraprojects Ltd. HSR Consortium
  • Larsen & Toubro Limited

The technical bids for this tender were opened on 23rd September 2020, and within less than one month, the financial bids were also opened after rigorous evaluation of the technical bids.

Additional Information:

This tender covers approximately 47% of the total 508 km alignment, between Vapi (Zaroli Village at Maharashtra-Gujarat Border) and Vadodara in the state of Gujarat. It includes four stations namely Vapi, Billimora, Surat, and Bharuch, along with Surat Depot.
