NHSRCL Announces First Vacancy Notice for Operations & Maintenance of High Speed Rail
National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has advertised its first vacancy notice for recruiting personnel who will be responsible for High Speed Rail train operations and maintenance.
A total of 13 middle-level management positions are being advertised across various disciplines such as station operations, train operations, rolling stock, signalling and telecommunication, electrical, and track.
The selected candidates will serve as “Operations & Maintenance Leaders” and will be responsible for establishing the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) organization for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) corridor, including its processes and workflows.
The selected candidates will undergo training in Japan to gain an in-depth understanding of Shinkansen system operations. As part of this, proficiency in the Japanese language is considered a desirable qualification for all positions. More details are available on the official NHSRCL website.
Future Recruitment Plans:
- NHSRCL is planning to recruit 28 drivers for bullet train operations in the current financial year.
- In the following year, an additional 30 executives will be inducted to strengthen the O&M organization and support the O&M leaders.
These personnel will be trained at the High-Speed Railway Training Institute at Vadodara by trainers who will initially receive training in Japan.
The O&M leaders, along with their teams, will not only manage operations and maintenance but will also be responsible for preparing training materials, operation manuals, and other essential documentation for the O&M organization.
Manpower Requirement:
As per estimates by Japanese experts, the project will require approximately 4,000 personnel across various categories, including locomotive drivers, guards, station staff, operation control centre staff, maintenance personnel, signal maintainers, and electrical staff.
